"Aitutaki Gem"
This giant clam was photographed in the Aitutaki Lagoon. Disappearing due to over-harvesting and poor reproductive environment, a mariculture program hopes to re-establish these rare beauties, Aitutaki Lagoon, Cook Islands, South Pacific.
